RS 5 Sportback makes its UK debut as RS 5 Coupe returns to the range and both will be offered exclusively in Audi Sport Edition form. Only 250 examples of each will be available in 2019 in the UK.
The chassis has been slightly upgraded over the standard A5 Sportback and A5 Coupe, including an RS-specific multi-link suspension setup and larger brakes. Further improvements include a standard Quattro sport differential that is configured to distribute power in the rear at a 40:60 split.
Drivers also benefit from enhancements that allow the drivers to tailor the cars' throttle response, steering weight and transmission shift points to suit them.
An Audi spokesperson said these 500 units are likely to be the final RS5 models sold before a particulate filter is installed as part of an update in 2020.

Subtle changes and design enhancements really change the look of the RS5 and make it stand out from anything else on the road.
Audi Sport Edition specification in both RS 5 variants brings larger 20-inch alloy wheels with an anthracite finish, fitting privacy glass, replacing aluminium-look exterior fittings such as the grille surround, window cappings and door mirror housings with high gloss black elements and installing the Audi Sport exhaust system.

The interior brings a fresh design, not too different from what we've seen in previous models but enough to notice a difference.

Minor additions also add to the fresh look that the RS 5 brings, all-LED lights brighten up the cabin and fully digital Audi Virtual Cockpit with RS-specific displays are a modern touch. Audi Smartphone integration also features along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, MMI navigation plus.
The RS5’s twin-turbocharged 2.9-litre V6 petrol engine produces 444bhp and 443lb ft, with drive sent to both axles via an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
Both models will do 0-62mph in just 3.9 seconds and are electronically limited to 173mph.
The Coupe manages 30.1mpg on the WLTP combined cycle and the Sportback 29.7mpg, with similar CO2 outputs of 213g/km and 215g/km.
