Under new management with new models on the way, Lotus has revealed a new logo, for the first time since 1989.
The Norfolk-based brand was bought by Chinese firm Geely in 2017. Surprised by the acquisition of Lotus by Geely? Check out these 14 car manufacturers that are driving the automotive industry. Under new ownership, it has developed the 1973bhp Evija electric hypercar that will be included in its line-up revamp, also joining the line up is the brands first SUV.
To reflect the changes in the brand, Lotus has tweaked its famous roundel logo, the new logo is the eighth variation.
And when we say tweak, it really is a tweak. The logo has been simplified but still maintains its classic design and colours.
Simon Clare, global marketing director at Lotus said: "looked back at the original Lotus roundel and thought about Colin Chapman’s philosophy: to simplify and add lightness.”
Along with the revamped logo, Lotus also announced a deal with nearby Premier League football club Norwich City that will involve Lotus sponsoring the team's academy sides.
